How do the bar tickets work?

In 2024 we switched up from a cash/EFTPOS bar to a ticketed system. This was meant to serve you faster plus be a little less punishing on the friendly club members trying to handle cash and cold drink containers all night.

Overall it was a good system but had some areas for improvement. So we had a corporate retreat in Portugal to brainstorm and meditate. Okay it was Feilding, same thing mostly.

For 2025 here's how it will work:

• Instead of cards with a variety of denominations, there will be 1 standard card with 10 'clicks' on it. There will be a desk set up in the main marquee for selling the cards, cash and EFTPOS same as before

• The cards will be $35 each so each click is effectively worth $3.50

• All the bar offerings will be either 1, 2 or 3 clicks and the fridges will be clearly marked so you can just point and grunt and if you have the clicks, you get the drink

IMPORTANT THING HERE

The cards have 10 clicks and sell for $35 but you don't need to buy all 10 on a card.

If you want to take it easy and pace yourself, you can pay for 5 clicks ($17.50) and get a card that has 5 valid clicks on it. Only want 3 clicks? Easy, $10.50 please.

The advantages to this are:

• That you only pay for what you want. No leftover weird $1 remainders

• 1 card for $35 is less than 1 card for $50 and probably better than 2 cards for $20 each

• Even if you have 1 click left, you can get something at the bar

• Some items will actually be a lower price than last year because in 2024 our cheapest drink was $4, this year it will be $3.50

• No more complicated maths at 11:30 while the band is playing, for you or for us. 1 click, 2 clicks or 3, easy peasy

Like last year's experiment, we will see how this works out. If it sucks, we'll think of something else. If it's good, we'll make it even better for 2026.
